WHO ARE OUTDOOR RESEARCH?
Outdoor Research is a small group of outdoor adventurers, based in seattle USA, who have designed and produced some incredible products inspired by their movements through the wilder places of the world.
Since 1983 (the same year as a climbing shop first appeared at our current Ambleside location) Outdoor Research have been listening to their customers in order to serve them best in all their human powered adventures. Reallising that feedback from other adventurers is the key to developing products that can achieve the hallmark of all their products: functional gear that works and lasts.
Having used and abused thier products over the years Lakes Climber believe that Outdoor Reaserch is the perfect companion for our core end user customers no matter what thier adventures might be?

At Outdoor Research they believe that the more direct feedback that they can recieve from their core end users, the better thier knowledge becomes of what is required in making truely functional equipment.
Through OR's Lab Rat program you are invited to share your experiances of Outdoor Research products in the field, directly with the people who designed your gear. The design developement team really value a no holds barred report on how your gear has performed. This way progress can be made.
